Observing the heart-wrenching predicament of abandoned stray dogs can be truly emotional. However, not all mother dogs display the same remarkable courage, resilience, and loyalty to their offspring like Si Bao does.
Once abandoned by her owner, this dog’s life took a tragic turn when her hind legs were severely injured by a train. The situation looked bleak for Si Bao until she gave birth to four adorable and resilient puppies who became her source of motivation to push through her challenging circumstances.
After embracing motherhood, Si Bao found a new lease of life and never let go of her optimistic and go-getter nature, especially when it came to her children. With two legs, she kept a close eye on her little ones, always watchful and determined in her care.
Si Bao and his family were rescued by Animals Asia, a non-profit organization established by Jill Robinson. This act of kindness has resulted in Si Bao becoming an animal ambassador and being relocated to the organization’s headquarters. This means that he and his offspring can now begin a new life, free from the need to search for food scraps discarded by travelers at train stations. Unfortunately, only one of his offspring, Muddie, has survived.
Moreover, there’s been a noteworthy alteration in the name of Lelly, who is now being called as “Lelly.” Besides, she’s exploring the possibility of acquiring prosthetic legs that have wheels for better movement. It’s disheartening to learn that out of her four puppies, three couldn’t survive the high fever, and only Muddie is left behind. Currently, Lelly is living a fulfilling life as an ambassador for animals and is actively advocating for the welfare of Asian animals.
Lelly’s petite physique belies her indomitable spirit that refuses to be defeated by any challenges.
