Cats with long fangs have a certain appeal that makes me swoon, and I’m sure I’m not alone in feeling this way. One particular super cool black cat named Fang embodies everything that is beautiful about black cats. Not only is he handsome, but he also seems to never take a bad photo. Plus, his fangs are the coolest ones I’ve ever seen on a cat.
This adorable rescue cat will steal your heart, and his story of rescue is one that will touch your heart as well. It just goes to show that sometimes older cats simply need someone to take a chance on them. And when they do, they get the chance to shine, feel loved, and never have to worry about getting rehomed again.
I caught up with Fang’s sweet cat mom and thankfully she allowed me to share his lovely story and pretty pics, so enjoy!
How did Fang become a part of your life?
I adopted Fang from the Connecticut Humane Society in 2014. I stumbled upon his picture online and instantly fell in love with him! He had several teeth removed before I adopted him due to poor oral hygiene, and after I took him home, he had the rest of his teeth (except for his top and bottom fangs and two little bottom teeth) removed as well. His mouth felt much better after that.
What is his personality like?
Fang can be a little shy around strangers, but I’m lucky enough to see his true personality shine through. He’s a spirited and sweet boy who loves to yell when his meals are late and wants to be petted before he eats. He’s super affectionate and also loves being chased so he can show off how fast he can run. He’s always at the door when I come home and usually joins me when I need to use the bathroom. Fang is a big fan of chasing the laser pointer and lying in the sun on the balcony.

Identifying Triggers and Managing Symptoms of Feline Anxiety
Discovering what activities your cat loves to do, like eating bacon and napping on the bed with his sister Olive, can bring you closer to understanding their behavior and promoting their health and wellness. It’s also important to identify triggers that may cause anxiety in your furry friend and take steps to manage any symptoms they may experience. By being attentive to your cat’s needs and providing a comfortable environment, you can help them feel at ease and maintain their overall well-being.
Is there something unique you’d like people to know about Fang? I want people to keep an open mind when adopting a pet. I got Fang when he was seven years old, and I couldn’t imagine my life without him. Older animals are just as amazing as little kittens! Thank you for letting me share Fang’s story. I’d like to give a special “thank you” to Fang’s cat mom, Bonnie, for allowing me to share Fang’s story and images with all of the Catitude Daily readers. If you know another cat lover who would enjoy learning about Fang, don’t forget to share. And for more of Fang, check him out on Instagram.
